Today 23/2/23 was INTERNATIONAL BRAILE DAY and Mwanza was the host of NATIONAL CELEBRATION OF MARKING THIS DAY
A three day simposium was held today it was climax
About 600 blind people from all over the country gathered in Mwanza to discuss all the challenges faced by this group of disabled community
Amongst dignitaries attended were Government leaders from Prime minister’s office,NGO’S and eyes specialist doctors and Mwanza regional leaders
The guest of Honor the Mwanza regional commissioner gifted 150 participants with WHITE CANE the is internationally to identify a blind person
The Desk and Chair foundation funded partially towards the costs and we are now in process of introducing the BRAILE FOR READING OF QURRANS FOR BLIND MUSLINS in near future

A very well attended program had a very good impact
