Reconditioned Computers Project

TDCF in conjunction with www.computeraid.org sent 230 reconditioned PCs to Tanzania. The total cost of this project was £10,500. These reconditioned computers were distributed to local Primary, Secondary and Technical Colleges in Tanzania as follows:

Computers at Sengerema Technical College
Computers at Thakafa
Coast Teachers Training College
Computer Class at Bilal Centre, Mwanza

One reconditioned Pentium 4 computer costs about £150:00. Please contact us if you would like to donate towards this project.

Adult literacy (15yrs & over): 76% (i.e. 15yrs & over who can either read/write Eng. Kiswahili & Arabic.)

Ratio of schooling children: 1 out of every 5 children attend school.

Religion: 45% Muslims, 45% Christians, indigenous believes 10%.
